Imagine being completely surrounded by girls (well almost). It definitely feels good isn't it? That was the experience which I had when Joel and I went to CHIJ SJC yesterday. I can confidently say that I know how an all boys school work inside out. But as for an all girls school, I didn't have much of a clue. Anyway, it was my first (hope that it will not be my last) time going to another school as a Representative of the SLC. I went there to witness their handing over of the leadership roles to the next batch of councillors.
It was a great experience. What caught my attention was the amount of support the students had when the investiture was taking place. Every single time they walked down the aisle, the students would scream and cheer as loudly as they could. The other thing I noticed was that as a Christian school, they honour God and Jesus in a slightly different way than us. Other than these two points, everything seems to be similar. The pledge taking, the walking down of the aisle etc.
There were other schools like Monfort, Maris, PLMGS and Singapore Sports School. Got to know some of them, funny and interesting people. After the investiture, we went on a tour around the school. Joel and I were escorted by many girls. I felt like some king haha. However, we were splitted up into individual schools damn (: There was not much difference as compared to our school. Basic facilities such as the science labs and the chapel were there. We also got to know more about the history of the school, they have quite a long history, about 100 years. Haha, if only both our schools did not move, then we would be next to each other!
Then, we took a group photo and they gave us some souvenirs. Ok, that's about all. I really really treasure this wonderful experience, hope that I would have the chance to visit other schools too (: Bye!

I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
