Woah, it has been awhile. I'm going to try recall the events from late January till now.
I was disappointed with the JAE results. I couldn't gather the courage to face the truth. That dreadful message which I received that very day read:
DAWSON FOO CESHENG, you are posted to TEMASEK POLY, CYBER & DIGITAL SECURITY (T15) under 2010 JAE.
I was confused, as I didn't know what to do or what my future holds. This wasn't the course that I wanted. Everyone has their 'dream' course. I'm no exception. It's just that some succeed while others don't. I knew that I had to get myself out of this spiral. Afterall, what's done is done. I have to let bygones be bygones.
Howver, I had to get mysself out of this predicament. As soon as I knew that there was a website in which I could appeal my JAE posting, I immediately went in to take a look. There was a glimpse of hope for me, a light at the end of the tunnel. I had to hang on to it and manipulate my mind into believing that there is still a chance for me to get out of this course.
But, as it turned out, I was once again disappointed by the results.
Coincidentally, this happened during the CNY period. I took the opportunity to talk to my family, friends and relatives and realised that this course isn't so bad afterall. At least, it's a course that can get you a job in a specific sector. I even set a target to get into a local university and get a degree. However, it will not be easy.
I may not get the chance to see her again as she is going to another polytechnic. "有缘无分" were the words that kept repeating in my mind when I knew that she won't be walking on the same path as me. But honestly, I have not given up on this relationship.
With that a side, my family and I went to my grandma's house during the CNY period. As usual, I had lots of fun :) Photos can be viewed here , courtesy of my brother.
Have a prosperous and happy new year!
Cheers!

I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
