Talk to me

Haven't had the time to talk about HRC. Muahahaha, so I had an enjoyable day last Saturday. Did the usual and reached school at around 6.40pm. It was still dark at that time, haha. Clifford, Siang Long and a few others were already there when I arrived. And so we waited for the rest to come. Eventually, CI Melvin, CI Khairul, Mrs Lim and more of my other squadmates arrived.
Boarded the bus and headed for Changi Jetty. We only saw Maris there, we were a little early. Had to wait for the rest of the Area 5, Bartley, PLMGS, Cedar, Yuying & other schools from another area. PL were the first to go on the bumboat, however we beat them to it, haha. Our driver was faster, yes! Then, at Pulau Ubin, some of us bought breakfast ._. That gave PL the headstart, as they started to walk to the campsite first. At the point of time, I had entirely no clue as to where the other schools were, except for Yuying.
As we walked, we did some cheers, it was really funny. I estimate we took about 20 mins to get to the campsite. Ran all the way to the assembly area. Guess what? Only one school was there before us, I can't remember the name of the school but I know its not from Area 5. Anyway, we beat PL again (yes!). They were no where to be seen.
Our first activity was ARC (Advanced Rope Challenge). I really don't know why the instructor chose PL and St Gabs to go together but anyway, we have to put on our helmet and harness. PL went first and we were the "ladder-man" (: We had to pull a rope to move the ladder in order to assist them. It's difficult to describe unless I show you the photos. There were two obstacle course, I had a go on the harder one. Woah, the feeling was just great. Halfway through, my legs began to wobble. I was getting tired too. But I know I couldn't give up because the only way down was to complete the course. After a few scary moments, I completed the course :)
Next was the flying fox, it was a really nice experience too. I felt I was flying when I did the flying fox. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to go through the tunnel simply because of the weather. How unpredictable can the weather be? It was sunny only a few hours ago. And by the time we wanted to try the tunnel, the dark grey clouds were already moving in. That was about all!

Reached home at around 7pm after training. Finally got our SSGT ranks today! Woot! Now there is a crab on my rank, haha. There's HRC tomorrow, its a inter-area event. We'll be going to Ubin for HRC and we'll do stuff like rock-climbing, flying fox and other high rope elements. Feel quite excited because I seriously don't know what to expect tomorrow. Just hope all goes well and I don't embarrass myself, that'll be my objective for tomorrow. Must meet in school at 0645 hrs, arghh!! So damn early. Okay, bye!

There was a GOH training for speech day yesterday. Nothing new for me because speech day every year is always similar. After the training, we went to eat lunch at mac. It was super crowded, probably because we went there during the lunch period. The extra value meals during weekdays between 12pm - 2pm are alittle cheaper. And so we bought our meals and ate together. Then we poured all our fries in a tray, haha
Went to play lan for 1 hour after that. Thats all!

There was suppose to be a NPCC basketball competition today at Hua Yi secondary school. But it seems like there's some miscommunication because the official date on the form was 14th of march, which is today. However, we found out that the basketball competition was held last saturday after visiting their NPCC blog, human error? Haha, so they had to play with other teams today because there was no competition today.
On to another thing. SA1 is getting closer and closer as time passes. Every second spent on doing things that are not meaningful is every second wasted. I guess the clock is ticking huh? I've been trying to come up with a Study Timetable lately, it isn't as easy as it seems. So many activities, so many things to plan. And as I procrastinate, time is wasted. So my advice is when you need to get something done, do it quickly and get it over and done with. It's time to stop procrastinating because if you have the mindset of getting it done later, you'll end up not doing it.
It'll be too late for regrets once the alarm goes off, everyone knows it...

Damn, there seem to be a virus in my Windows Live Messenger recently. My friends told me that I've been sending them a message containing a link. The problem is that I wasn't even online when all of these happened. To all who are viewing this, PLEASE DO NOT click on the link that comes with a message that I send you because it contains a virus which'll mess up your Windows Live Messenger.
I can't sign into my Windows Live Messenger now because of some password problems, probably due to the virus. It'll take some time before I can solve this problem. I was also told that the automatic message was being spammed repeatedly to those in my contact list. So, I would like to apologise to everyone in my contact list who received the anonymous message with the link. Sorry for all the inconvenience caused.
Meanwhile, I've been researching online about this virus that seem to only affect Windows Live Messenger. Apparently, when the virus is in action, it opens and closes WLM windows repetitively (presumably sending the virus in the same way as I received it). It's happened to quite a few people independent of the apparent chain I'd got myself into, so I assume it's more widespread than I thought. There are many different versions of this virus. Sometimes, it appears as a zip file from a friend in your contact list. It is named 'photo album'. When you extract and run the file inside, the virus would start to spread.
While in other versions, it'll ask you to look at some summer vacation photos by clicking on a link. Anyway I heard that this virus is very hard to remove, so I'm in for some big time. Thats all for today, bye.

Wooo! Went to Darrell's house today to play basketball. Dylan, Clifford and Daniel wanted to train for the basketball competition on Saturday. Met other basketball pros there. Even though I'm not gonna participate in the competition, I thought I just tagged along (: It was fairly alright, just that the rain made the whole court wet and stuff. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be a quite a short day because the sec 3s are away in Kota Tinggi and afew teachers will not be around. Anyway, I wrote this poem during my free time. It took me afew days to complete it. Do give me your opinions!
The Ups and Downs of Life – Chapter One
Thank God it turned out fine, Otherwise I would have died. All the thoughts that came to my mind, Were simply left behind.
Thrown into the deep blue ocean, Those heartbreaking devotions. Ease the pain in my heart, It brings us further apart.
Every little thing seem to count, Regardless of the amount. I just couldn’t win, No matter how hard I try.
The sun shines brightly, One cannot say such things lightly. The small but dazzling moon, Illuminates like a silver shiny spoon.
Hope was not very far away, I could predict that it was in May. It was my one and only chance, To make a swift and steady advance.
But then darkness soon begin to fall, The gloomy grey sky caused a brawl. Trapped in a paradigm shift, I found it difficult to breathe.
I figured that the only way out of hell, Was to simply cast a spell. “Abracadabra!” was what I said, However, I would never forget the price I paid…
Not realizing my mistake, Resulted in a gigantic quake. That was when I finally realized, I had lost you…

Never make a promise you can't keep Always think before you act Do not be indecisive
Never make hasty decisions Always think for others Do not only think for yourself
Never leave anyone behind Always show care and concern Do not be proud and arrogant
Never waste any precious time Always take the initiative to ask Do not keep quiet and do nothing
Never think pessimistically Always think optimistically Do not be afraid of what's to come
Never be unkind Always lend a helping hand Do not be selfish
Never be over confident Always think of the consequences Do what's right, not what's popular
Never be petty Always forgive and forget Do not judge a book by it's cover
Never look at things in only one angle Always look in different angles Do put yourself in someone else's shoes

Apologise for the delay. I shall talk about the OAC that was from last Friday to Sunday. Overall I think it was a success for me and our entire batch of sec 4 cadet leaders. Even though there were some screw ups here and there, we still managed to make our camp a successful one. I know that everyone has put in their heart and soul in organising the camp and making it successful. I salute the campers, cadet leaders, cadet inspectors and the teachers. Without each and everyone of you, the camp would be nothing. They say it takes a TEAM in order for something to be successful. This will most probably be our first and last camp which we will be running. Okay, they say a picture speaks a thousand words, so why not just show some photos? Here goes...
Note: 1. They are NOT in chronological order 2. Not all of the OAC photos are in the slideshow simply because there are too many photos, there's around 500+ (:
Stay tune for my next post!

Ahhh! OAC is finally over. Got so many things to say but I'm just too dam busy. Immediately fell asleep as soon as I reach home yesterday. I also have lots of work for me to do. So I'll talk about the camp another day! (P.S I'm waiting for the photos too)
I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
