Mission week is over (: I wouldn't say that it was a complete waste of time because I did learnt many things from the Redemptorist Mission Team (RMT). They were a funny group of guys and girls haha. I could tell that they were very experience because of the way they speak and conduct certain activities. Well for me, humour was what made this programme enjoyable. Everyone hates boring talks and lectures, but what made them stand out was their character. They can joke and play but when it's time to be serious, they will be serious.
One of them was even an Ex-Gabrielite, his name was Joshua. This was another reason to why the programme was successful (for me at least). It was the bond that everybody felt, because he was an Ex-Gabrielite. He knew our character and what we like to do. They each gave us a card yesterday, titled "Inside Out". I just want to quote the passage because I find it very meaningful.
"When I was young and free and my imaginations had no limits. I dreamed of changing the world. As I grew older and wiser I realised the world would not change. And I decided to shorten my sights somewhat and change only my country. But it seemed immovable. As I entered my twilight years, in one last desperate attempt, I sought to change only my family, those closest to me, but alas they would have none of it.
And now here I lie on my death bed and realise (perhaps for the first time) that if only I'd changed myself first, then by example I may have influenced my family and with their encouragement and support I may have bettered my country, and who knows I may have changed the world."
This programme should definitely be carried out for the next batch. As to how much it will helped, only time will tell...

I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
