Back from a grueling and exhausting camp. It was one hell of a camp, but it was definitely worth going to.
Day One
I had initially thought that this camp was not worth my time because everyone knew that we would get punished for every single thing. We falled-in at 12pm to clean up the NP room and take stock. Then, it was the official camp opening and the tone setting. Our CIs basically stated the rules and regulation for this camp. We also had to empty our bags for a bag-check. We had to change to Full Uniform for a Uniform Etiquette lecture in the AVA room. When we are in Full Uniform, our hair is suppose to be neat and sloped and of a natural colour. Our fringe should not touch our eyebrows. The crest of our beret should be two fingers above our left eyebrow and it must be blue and 'seasoned' As for our shirt, the crest on the buttons should be pointing downwards, except for those on the shoulder, as they should be facing outwards. These are just some of the points. There are many other points, but I won't state them.
The lecture finished at 3pm. From then on, we had a 3hr drill session. We learnt the proper way of teaching basic drills and practicing them. I was already feeling exhausted but I knew that this was not the end of it. Next, was a change of attire and Dinner. We had Nasi Brani lol. We proceeded to the AVA room and literally stayed inside for about 5 hours for our Lesson Planning + Debrief lecture and for our campcraft before taking turns to conduct a mass debrief. By then, it was already about 10.30pm and we had to go to sleep at 11.15pm. However, we failed to listen to orders and had to go for Night PT. In the end, we slept at 12.30am and that concludes day one.
