Bryan came back afew days ago from HK. I asked him if it was fun and he said yes. The trip make him more enthu in NP, he said. I would really love to know what he did there in detail, but I guess I have to wait for next year. He also went to the police souvenir shop to get some stuff. Wonder what did he buy. Anyway 2009 is fast approaching, the countdown begins. About 33 days left, oh well

I came across this video afew days ago. Its a cover of Lucky by Jason Mraz and Colbie Caillat. I thought their version was much better than the original maybe because they have some chemistry.

Is it infatuation or love? Do you know the difference?
Infatuation
·You've only know the person a short time, or superficially for a longer period (from a distance)
·You idealize their behavior and aren't accepting of their whole actions. You place them on a pedestal.
·You trivialize behavior such as abuse or cheating, or think it won't occur if they dated/married you
·You tend to fantasize about them often and are then disappointed when you spend any real time with them. You become bored with them the longer you know them.
Love
·You've been involved with them for a significant amount of time, at least 6 months to well over a year or longer
·You have the same interests, agree on important issues (whether or not to have marriage or children, use of finances). You make mutual agreements, and no one bullies the other.
·You've had arguments with them where you handled the disputes in a rational manner, and where neither of you holds grudges or abuses the other.
·You enjoy intimacy with them, and have a mutual agreement on the boundaries of your sexual relationship (with yourselves and/or with others). You don't cheat on each other.
·You've met their family and friends, and generally like them
·You've lived together, or made major mutual decisions (purchases, travel plans)
·You can go periods of time without seeing them, and you still feel the same way about them. You don't become bored as time goes by.
Love usually takes longer to develop than infatuation and love lasts longer. I doubt you could really fall in love with someone in a week; but, you might be infatuated with them if you've spent a great week together. The infatuation could turn to love over time, or just wear off.

The SLC camp was alittle boring but it was still fun. Gotta admit that I was quite disappointed but everyone makes mistakes. The important thing is to learn from your mistakes. I'm just alone in my lonely world.
Wednesday, November 19 @ 7:38 PM
Have a SLC camp this Friday. I really don't know what to expect, but I think it most probably will be more fun and relaxed than the camp I had around 2 weeks ago. It's a 2D1N camp and I'm anxious as to what will happen. I hope to meet new friends and enjoy myself. (:

My computer is finally back! Haha, my com was down since last Friday. So couldn't go on ._. But its finally back today. Okay enough crap. On to today. Mass cleaning of NP room. Made the room more spacious and our TO brought in some new furnitures. Overall, it was a fun day. Lollipop ~

The last day was a meaningful day as we learnt many many important qualities.
Day Three
We had to conduct Morning PT for the entire squad. It wasn't easy, but I feel that we still did okay for our first try. With that, we had to change to our Full U and submit our Muster Parade proposal that we did this morning. As usual, we had breakfast and our last lecture before conducting a muster parade rehearsal. We also had a debiref for the entire camp. What were the 3 things that we had learnt? Questions like these were asked, and from the debrief, I really learnt my good and bad points and I believed everyone too. A few hours later, the actual muster parade went on. We received new badges and were promoted to SGT. And that marks the end of the camp.

The second night was definitely the worst and the best night of the entire camp. The CIs decided to give us a 'surprise'.
Day Two - Part Two
After the exhausting team building activity that last approximately 3 to 4 hours after lunch, we had a RAMS(Risk Assessment Management System) cum First Aid lecture in the AVA Room. Basically, we were taught some basic first aid like how to evacuate an unconscious person and many others. Dinner was as usual, packed food. I was glad that we didn't get rations in this camp because I was seriously sick of eating the CAN FOOD and MAGGI MEE. Next, we had a Physical Training & Recreational Training lecture. As Cadet Leaders, we had to learn how to lead and conduct a PT/RT. Then, Mr Lim went through the UOPA stuffs and gave us an interesting lecture. The lecture was titled, 'The Art Of Scolding' (Basic). When I first saw it I was like what the?
And the 'worst' part was that we were given scenarios and had to treat the CIs as our juniors. We had to scold them, lol. Only a few of us had the chance to scold the CIs. By now it was about 10.30pm, around the time when the lecture had ended. The CIs also told us that they had a surprise waiting for us. No one knew what it was going to be. Then, they told us it was Night PT because we missed the bunk inspection earlier during the day. From then on, we were in deep trouble. Changing from PT Kit to Full U and vice versa. Uniform check in the night? Pumpings and punishments. Anything, you name it. It was also one of the awesome nights because we changed to our Full U in 5min 30secs. A record, most likely because our CPL ranks were at stake. At around 12am, the CIs finally ended our torture. We could go to sleep.

The second day was the worst day of the entire camp in my opinion. We made alot of mistakes and paid the price for it.
Day Two - Part One
The day started at 5am. We had 1hr to come up with a lesson plan for drills and campcraft later. We did everything according to the Lesson Plan lecutre given yesterday and managed to complete it. Morning PT was conducted by our PTI. As usual, it was breakfast, the food was good, the milo too. We had to change to our Full U and tidy our bunks for bunk inspection. Isaac came to our camp around that time too. Unfortunately, he forgot to bring his belt and was unable to change to his full u. And in the discussion of how to solve the problem let us to think that there would be no bunk inspection. We proceeded to the next activity only to know that there was indeed a bunk inspection.
The CI who was suppose to check our bunks was fuming mad, he was extremely angry. We couldn't give him a valid explanation. In the end, we had to settle this after all the activities of day two had ended. Our lesson plans were also screwed up. Most of us had to teach without a lesson plan. Then after lunch, came the part which totally took me by surprise because it wasn't suppose to be on the camp schedule. First, we had to think of a way to hit the big square board at the basketball court. Obviously it was impossible for me. I had to combine two small dowel poles and tie a knot using my shirt to do it. We also had to do a caterpillar push-up. This was not easy because it involves coordination and teamwork. We did our utmost, but still couldn't complete it. We promised to complete one before the camp ends.

Back from a grueling and exhausting camp. It was one hell of a camp, but it was definitely worth going to.
Day One
I had initially thought that this camp was not worth my time because everyone knew that we would get punished for every single thing. We falled-in at 12pm to clean up the NP room and take stock. Then, it was the official camp opening and the tone setting. Our CIs basically stated the rules and regulation for this camp. We also had to empty our bags for a bag-check. We had to change to Full Uniform for a Uniform Etiquette lecture in the AVA room. When we are in Full Uniform, our hair is suppose to be neat and sloped and of a natural colour. Our fringe should not touch our eyebrows. The crest of our beret should be two fingers above our left eyebrow and it must be blue and 'seasoned' As for our shirt, the crest on the buttons should be pointing downwards, except for those on the shoulder, as they should be facing outwards. These are just some of the points. There are many other points, but I won't state them.
The lecture finished at 3pm. From then on, we had a 3hr drill session. We learnt the proper way of teaching basic drills and practicing them. I was already feeling exhausted but I knew that this was not the end of it. Next, was a change of attire and Dinner. We had Nasi Brani lol. We proceeded to the AVA room and literally stayed inside for about 5 hours for our Lesson Planning + Debrief lecture and for our campcraft before taking turns to conduct a mass debrief. By then, it was already about 10.30pm and we had to go to sleep at 11.15pm. However, we failed to listen to orders and had to go for Night PT. In the end, we slept at 12.30am and that concludes day one.

Hehe, just came back from SM Goh's visit to our school. Was pretty boring, standing at our stations and doing guard duty. But overall, I enjoyed it. The event was something like a fair, the police were also there. It was good to see Mr Goh himself. I think this event was fruitful overall

The NPCC CLTC is on. It is necessary because the teachers wish to train us up so that next year we will be more confident and more competent leaders to lead our juniors. Not only lead but pass down(teach) the skills and knowledge to our fellow cadets. The camp is held on 7th - 9th of November, Friday 12pm - Sunday 3pm, at school. More details to be revealed later. I can't wait. It has been like 2 years since I last had a camp in school.
I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
