Talk to me
Monday, June 30 @ 10:08 PM
Got this from an e-mail. Just sharing it. Some of them make sense to me while others do not make sense. What do you think? :o
~If You Love Someone~
if you love some one because you think that he or she is really gorgeous... then it's not love - it's "Infatuation" ...
if you love some one because you think that you shouldn't leave him because others think that you shouldn't... then it's not love.. it's "Compromise"...
if you love some one because you think you cannot live with out his touch... then it's not love.. it's "Lust"...
if you love some one because you have been kissed by him... then it's not love.. it's "Inferiority Complex"...
if you love someone because you cannot leave him thinking that it would hurt his feelings... then it's not love.. it's "Charity"...
if you love some one because you share every thing with him... then it's not love.. it's "Friendship"...
but if you feel the pain of the other person more than him even when he is stable and you cry for him.. that's "LOVE"...
if you get attracted to other people but stay with him without any regrets... that's "LOVE"...
if you let him go knowing that he has to go but he doesn't want to... that's "LOVE"...

Have a camp next week. I don't know what will happen, whether we will be in the same group as them or how she will react when she sees him. During the camp last year, I was the only cadet from St. Gabs in my group. I gotta admit, I was very lonely. At first I thought, this is gonna get boring >< But in the end, it turned out fine. We had a few happy moments and I was happy. I learnt many things from the camp last year. One of them is to not bring unnecessary things. In other words, things that I don't need. My bag weighed a ton last year. I almost gave up because the journey from the jetty in Pulau Ubin to the campsite was very far. It was one hell of a camp. But, I enjoyed every single bit of the camp last year.
As for this year, the campkit list is roughly the same. Just some minor changes. I just hope that this year, I'll be in the same group as one of my squadmates and she or even them. I heard that there will be no kayaking this year. That's disappointing, kayaking was one of the many activities I enjoyed last year and I still have some faint memories of my kayaking experience last year. Not to mention the pitching of our tents. ^^

Training just ended about 2 hours ago. Had a long day today. At first, I thought that it would be alittle weird for us to lead the unit. But then, it wasn't so bad as I expected. Maybe its because the CIs took most of the trainings today to prepare us for the Survival Camp next week at Pulau Ubin. Nevertheless, I know we did well because we managed to pull off something we thought we couldn't do. Our performance wasn't so bad for first-timers. However, there is still room for improvement. The future trainings ahead will determine how well we do and how focused we are in our respective roles.

Was browsing through YouTube searching for songs from local artists. Came across this video, it was sung during the first season of the Campus Superstar final. I think its a sweet song. There's a Korean versian too. Both of them are equally nice! It was by Teresa and Junyang. The other song was by Zhiyang and Sin Huey. Couldn't find that video >< Notice Teresa keeps staring at Junyang, LOL!

Just came back from my grandma's house after having dinner with the entire family nearby. The food was great ^^ I have quite a big family. All of them are from my mum's side. My mum has 2 older sisters, 2 younger sisters and 2 younger brothers. Well, I have alot of aunties and uncles. Not to expect, I have alot of cousins too. Most of them are around my age or older, except my little cousin. She's only 3 years old and she's dam cute ^^ Had a great time. We don't get together really often because many of them are busy. However, our relationships are still considered close. Nothing beats having your family and relatives beside you. It's a gift and we must learn to cherish it no matter what happens.

NPAP '08
It all started this year in January. We were told that the annual NPAP Parade is coming up in April and they needed 7 cadets to participate. So there were 4 Sec 3s and 3 Sec 2s. At first, I didn't want to go, but I just volunteered. Soon, trainings after trainings past. And my friendship with my fellow contingent mates grew. Then, it was the actual day, April 12th. It was also the day we parted. It was a day of emotions and the last day that everyone came together as Contingent 9. Me and my fellow squadmates and our juniors were shocked when we were given farewell cards on the way to HTA. I didn't expect that, much less my squadmates and juniors I suppose. Thats when it all started, those turn of events. It was rather interesting and I don't blame anyone. Overall, I did not regret participating in this parade. It was dam fun. I didn't expect that when I volunteered. I admit that I was alittle reluctant to go at first. But, my squadmates gave me the motivation. Well, I'll never know unless I try. I'm glad I did =) Two of my squadmates were in the Flag Contingent, I don't know if they have any pictures, sorry =( While one of my squadmate and 3 juniors were in Contingent 9. Here are the videos!

Time flies, school is starting next week. I've finished most of my homework, but I think there's still some to complete. Relaxing and listening to music. I like most of Mika's songs. I mean although he has a high pitch voice and many people would call him a 'gay', he's still a great singer. His unique voice reminds me of the retro hits in the 70s and 80s. His album is called "Life in Cartoon Motion" What a name? lol. This is just one of my many favourite songs from him!

Happy Birthday Wanting! (Phew, its still 17th June) Haha. Saw your blog, looks like you had a great time! Its good that he said Happy Birthday to you. Anyway, cannot give real birthday cake but fake one can? D:
Found this while I was surfing the net. Wonder if its true? o_o
Your Birthdate: June 17
You tend to find yourself lucky - both in business and in life.
And while being wealthy is nice, you enjoy sharing your abundance with others.
You put your luck to good use: you are very ambitious and goal oriented.
Often times, you get over excited and take on more than you can manage.
A friend is a treasure A friend is someone we turn to, when our spirits need a lift. A friend is someone we treasure, for our friendship is a gift. A friend is someone who fills our lives, with beauty, joy and grace. And make the world we live in, a better and happier place.

MGS 4 came out 3 days ago. I think the storyline is perfect, much less the gameplay and sound effects. Its just the best game in the world. For now, its only available in PS3, I heard its because the gameplay takes too much space. If the game were to come out in XBOX 360, you would need quite alot of discs. I don't have a PS3, so I can't get the game >< But, I've played MGS 3 : Snake Eater before on PS2. For those of you who have a PS3, this game is a must buy, and I mean it, you definitely won't regret. Here is the official trailer.

It as a rather emotional day for all of us, as the seniors passed on the leadership to us. This is the moment for us, to take charge of the unit. For the first time in years, I look forward to the first training under us when school re-opens. Some people may say we suck for example our drills are crap and we do not have what it takes to lead the unit etc. But, I believe we can do it. Just like what our ex-ps said, the more they say we suck, the more we should prove them wrong. Kudos to the Sec 4s, who laid the basic foundation for us, so that we can excel in it and lead the unit to greater heights.
Ok, about today. I find the parade was alittle screwed up. We didn't have enough time to practise properly. I mean the trainings were alittle disorganised because many of us didn't know the procedures. But, I think it was still acceptable, our mistakes weren't that obvious. After the parade, we had to clear up the NP room. All the mess left behind by the Sec 4s. Haha, I can understand why they mess the whole room up. Anyway, everything was confusing for us. We had to put back the rifles, drill canes and others and the individual squad PS took their squads for the first time. The next training is about 2 weeks away, we don't know what to expect and we have to learn everything by ourself. I just hope everything turns out find and that we won't be a disgrace to the unit. Most importantly, we must prove that we have what it takes to lead the unit and do better than the previous batch of cadet leaders. We have 1 year to do this, I just hope for the best and I believe we can do it.

Just came back from my POP training. Tiring >< I finally knew my post today. Assistant Head of Logistics, or Assistant Log for short ._.And my "boss" is Siang Long, he's the Head Log. Haha, actually Im just happy that I can work with him. I had a wonderful experience in NPAP afew months back. He went through a so called 'disturbing' NPAP? -_- Anyway, tomorrow is the actual day finally. After today's training, I can say that Im fully prepared to take over. Even though a CI say we weren't ready, I believe that we will be ready and do what's right when the time comes. We share through weals and woes. After two and the half years of training, we can finally take over and lead the unit to greater heights. To the future cadet leaders, lets march forward!
Regarding another matter, I saw the news yesterday. Two national servicemen died in the midst of physical training. Omg, and now Mindef has suspended all physical training for three days. I think such trainings can be extremely exhausting >< Maybe its because the training was too tough or something. Condolences to the victims families. (:
Croatia won Germany 2-1 yesterday. It was quite a shock, I didn't expect Germany to lose. They were always the favourites in the Euro Cups. But this time they lost, I think they need to re-think their strategies and find out what went wrong. Okay, I need to prepare my uniform and other stuffs for the parade tomorrow. It will be from 9am to 6pm tomorrow. So yeah, long day. Need to ensure that my uniform is in tip-top condition. I mean we're taking over, our uniform has to look better than our juniors right? I also need to polish up my boots. Got afew cracks under the hot sun today, need to cover up by polishing. So, I'll be busy. This concludes my long post today >< Enjoy your weekends!

The Beijing Olympics are coming soon! It is currently 56 days, 2 hours, 4 minutes and 57 seconds until Friday, August 8, 2008.
Extract from Wikipedia
The 2008 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XXIX Olympiad, will be celebrated from August 8, 2008, to August 24, 2008, with the opening ceremony beginning at 08:08:08 pm CST (12:08:08 UTC) at the Beijing National Stadium in Beijing, People's Republic of China.[a] Some events will be held outside Beijing, namely football (soccer) (in Qinhuangdao, Shanghai, Shenyang, and Tianjin), equestrian (in Hong Kong) and sailing (in Qingdao). This will be the third time the Olympics are held under the jurisdiction of 2 different NOCs (Hong Kong and mainland China compete separately).
The Olympic games were awarded to Beijing, People's Republic of China after an exhaustive ballot of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) on July 13, 2001. The official logo of the games, titled "Dancing Beijing," features a stylized calligraphic character jīng (京, meaning capital), referencing the host city. The mascots of Beijing 2008 are the five Fuwa, each representing one color of the Olympic rings. The Olympic slogan, One World, One Dream, calls upon the world to unite in the Olympic spirit. Athletes will compete in 302 events in 28 sports, just one event more than was on the schedule of the Athens games of 2004. Several new National Olympic Committees (NOCs) have also been recognized by the IOC.
The Chinese government has promoted the games to highlight China's emergence on the world stage, amidst concerns about environmental issues and human rights violations, particularly in Tibet. There have also been growing concerns of major nations boycotting the Olympics in protest of China's actions in Tibet. Earlier in 2007, former IOC president Juan Antonio Samaranch had said that he believes that the Beijing games will be "the best in Olympic history."
Here is a view of the stadium that is going to be used,
Extract from Wikipedia again ._.
The centerpiece of the 2008 Summer Olympics will be the Beijing National Stadium, nicknamed the "Bird nest" because of its nest-like skeletal structure. Construction of the venue began on December 24, 2003. The Guangdong Olympic Stadium was originally planned, constructed, and completed in 2001 for the Games, but a decision was made to construct a new stadium in Beijing. Government officials engaged architects worldwide in a design competition. A Swiss firm, Herzog & de Meuron Architekten AG, collaborated with China Architecture Design & Research Group to win the competition. The National stadium features a lattice-like concrete skeleton forming the stadium bowl and will have a seating capacity of 80,000 people. Architects originally described the overall design as resembling a Bird nest with an immense ocular—an opening with a retractable roof over the stadium. However, in 2004, the idea of retractable roof was abandoned for economic and safety reasons. The Beijing National Stadium will be the site of the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the athletics events and soccer finals. The stadium's designer Ai Weiwei has since withdrawn his support for China's Olympic games, saying "he wants nothing to do with them anymore".
Although Im not much of an "Olympic Fan", I think that its gonna be worth watching the Beijing Olympics 2008. Its like once in a lifetime huh? To get to host the games. Beijing won the rights in back in July 13, 2001. They beat Toronto in Canada, Paris, Istanbul and Osaka by quite alot. Anyway, just remember to catch the upcoming Beijing Olympics on 8/8/08 !

I wanted to change my blogskin. Went to Blogskin to find some nice skins, I took about 2 hours but couldn't find any nice ones. So decided to stick with this one. xD Anyway, I used a new chatbox. I realised the old one was lousy because it was free >< You have to pay to upgrade to more functions. Got to complete my homework, see ya!

Want to recommend a good site to watch all kinds of movie for free. Here, http://www.watch-movies.net/, I knew of this website along time ago. Its actually quite good because they have practically any movie you can think of. The only problem is sometimes, it takes time to load. However, that is a small problem if you really want to watch a movie. =) I've watch many movies there from Resident Evil to Rush Hour and others. Its just the best website for your movie needs in my opinion. I think it even has the latest movies for those of you who don't wanna spent the money. Share the website with your friends if you think its good, enjoy!

Lmao, this video made me laugh my head off. Her name is Valentina Hasan - the singer of the smashing hit "Ken Lee" in Bulgarian Idol. Its a misheard lyrics version of the Maria Carey's song "Without you". Just one word, HILARIOUS!!

Polishing my new boots because my old boots are worn out. They are gonna tear apart soon, its only a matter of time, so why not change to my new one? Its quite fun polishing boots, especially when you get to see your own reflection ^^ Now down to homework, I completed my maths homework. But, there's still POA and EL. What a boring weekend, I need to find something or someone to entertaint me. ><
Friday, June 6 @ 1:54 PM
Found this picture in one of my friend's friendster. I find it true, lol. Ok seriously, its somewhat true on majority of girls except some ^^ Just came back from training. Wasn't so bad as I expected. Practised for the parade, it was nothing special. Carrying the rifle and practising our marching, alittle screw ups >< but overall is fun! There's still another training next Friday and the actual parade is next Saturday. To my squadmates, we're finally taking over! Cheers!
Thursday, June 5 @ 3:44 PM
Tomorrow is our first POP training. And the day we die ><, because of what happened during Tuesday, our second day of our LMSC course. Honestly, I don't know what's going to happened tomorrow, I just hope its not so severe, thats how I would describe it. And I guess we'll know our posts tomorrow? The training is from 8am - 12pm. Fortunately, its not so long ^^ Anyway, I still have some homework to do and I still have to prepare the attire for tomorrow. No matter what happens, we're in this together!
Wednesday, June 4 @ 2:20 PM
Ahhh. Didn't blog yesterday because I was exhausted. The whole group of future NCOs were when some people drew on the NP crest. And there was even someone "I want to beat up that guy" in chinese. Unfortunately, a HO heard it. All the guys were in pumping position until that guy owned up. Many other incidents, and I don't feel like talking about them. Now that I can take a break, I want to complete my homework. I have quite alot of homework ><
Monday, June 2 @ 10:23 PM
Today was kind of alright, its not really that tiring. The lecture is really boring (: In addition, it lasted almost 9 hours. Imagine listening to a lecture for that long. Luckily, there was some activities and breaks in between. Anyway, there's still tomorrow. It would be the same, except now we don't need to be in full you. ^^ I wonder who reads my blog daily anyway? o_o
Sunday, June 1 @ 7:04 PM
Might not be blogging for the next two days, busy with my CCA. Anyway, my LMSC course is from 8am - 5pm tomorrow, I think by the time I'm back, I'll be exhausted. And the course is on Monday and Tuesday, I'll see whether I have enough energy. As for someone, I don't mean to hurt you, but I really want some peace and think of what to do next. So, I hope you don't blame me for neglecting you. Have a nice evening!
I'm someone who is shy, especially towards girls because all my life I've been studying in a all boys school. I only have a brother and almost all of my cousins are guys too, so I can't help it (: However, I really open up when I know my friends well enough, we'll do things together, have fun together and maybe even study together? haha
